A. Categories of FONDAMU Membership
FONDAMU has closed and open membership categories. Founding members constitute a closed category as only those who participated in the creation of the Mugangu Foundation can enter into this category.

The following categories of membership are open for people of good will to support or participate in the foundation activities and program: (a) patron; (b) sponsor; (c) advisor; (d) expert; and (e) beneficiary. The following criteria apply for each one of these categories.

1. Patrons are those people who provide a considerable ongoing or one time support to furthering the cause toward the attainment of the mission of the foundation. It may be a will to FONDAMU, or a large donation, or providing connections to other large donors and foundations who share the broad goals of FONDAMU.
2. Sponsors are people who generously give to FONDAMU to support particularly selected or general programs and activities of the Mugangu Foundation.
3. Advisors are people who provide advice and moral support to the foundation.
4. Experts are resource persons who help FONDAMU with their knowledge or know how to assist the implementation of its activities designed to serve the beneficiaries. As an example, mentors for orphan children or coaches for microcredit or for imparting leadership and entrepreneurship skills are experts.
5. Beneficiaries are people who live with revenue of less than US $2 per day.
6. Congolese general members are people in the area we serve (Democratic Republic of Congo) who do not contribute financially but who have committed to participating in FONDAMU activities in various ways and who typically earn more than US $2 per day.

B. How do I become a member?
To become a member one needs to select the category of membership one fits in as defined above. Then write to FONDAMU an e-mail to express the need to participate and support the FONDAMU ideals and programs. The email address is fondamu@yahoo.com or trinto@fondamu.org. At the appropriate sponsorship program one may fill in an ad hoc form to support a program and FONDAMU staff will write the person if he/she wants to become either a sponsor or a patron following the kind of support provided or intended to be provided.
